"Old Abe"
One of three identical four wheel hose carriages built by the Keyport firm of Tilton and Cherry in 1894. "Old Abe" as she was known was the first apparatus to serve Lincoln. This carriage was used until 1915 when Lincoln became the first company in the area to procure a motorized rig. 'Old Abe" eventually made its way to the Aero-Marine protecting the plant, later vanishing into the annals of the KFD history.
