Welcome to the website of the Keyport Fire Department. Please stop back often as we are updating the site frequently. We hope that you will find our site educational and interesting. Keyport is located on the northern coast of the Raritan bay in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
We are a 100% volunteer municipal department that serves about 10,000 daytime and 7800 legal residents in a town that is only 1.5 square miles in size. Our Seven independent fire companies are staffed with 146 active Firefighters and many other reserve and associate members as well as a large junior firefighter program. The seven companies consist of: Hook & Ladder Co No.1, Engine Co. No. 1, Lincoln Hose Co. No. 1, Raritan Hose Co. No. 2, Liberty Hose Co. No 3, Eagle Hose Co. No. 4, and Fire Patrol.
Each company is housed in separate firehouses located strategically throughout the town. Each firehouse is privately owned, operated and maintained by the individual company. Although the Borough contributes minimal funds annually for heating bills and apparatus storage.
The fire department is extremely active in many areas and we pride ourselves in a 3 minute response time to any part of the Borough. Please stay a while and see the details of the KFD.
